For somebody.  Stopped and gawked for a bit while on a drive with Dad today.

Changes, changes......means shopping is needed, right?

I'm going to be in a new position at work next year.  Instead of having a classroom of speech and language kids I will be a school site speech/language therapist.  I'll have my preschoolers and the K-3 kids at my school.   Plus, two offices!  It is very kind and helpful of my principal to let me have part of the room next to the preschool class for office and workspace near the little ones.  It will save hours of walking with preschoolers to get to the "speech room" as the year goes by.

I decided that I'm going to need some kind of rolling cart to take things back and forth so I don't need to have two of any essentials or of my favorite tools and activities.  I've been comparing carts and totes and finally decided on the Crop in Style XXL.   I went with the larger tote on wheels since I'm sure I'll be hauling an assessment or two across campus.   Those things can be bulky to say the least!

After I've used it a while.....next fall, I'm sure I'll have some things I like and dislike about it.  My first impressions are good.   It is cavernous.   I will be able to haul what I need to haul.  I'll need to be careful not to over load it.   It looks to be well made and allows for flexibility in use as the dividers in the big inside section are all moveable and removable.

For now it's a new thing and, of course, I took some photos.  For size reference there is a 5" pair of kid type scissors in some of the pictures.

Appears to be well made:

Lots of compartments:

And the outside pockets unzip fully:

It even comes with a little lock.  I have no idea if it's useful to have.

Re-bloom

Last year one of our family's at school brought us three beautiful Anthurium plants for teacher appreciation week.   I managed to keep mine alive and healthy enough to re-bloom.  The flowers aren't as big and showy as from the hot house but still pretty!

tiny, little turtle

This little guy showed up in a friend's neighborhood, got lost downstairs and reappeared upstairs.  (I'm thinking cats.) It's in need of a new home so I'm posting here so my brother, niece and nephew can see him.

Picked up the turtle this morning.  It's a red eared slider about the size of a half dollar.

Thanks to Sis planting 30 bulbs in my big flower pot I have a giant bouquet of daffs in my front yard.

Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes

Almost everyone who works with young children knows the little song:

Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, Knees and Toes,
Head Shoulders, Knees and Toes, Knees and Toes,
Eyes and Ears, and Mouth, and Nose,
Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, Knees and Toes.

Kids love it but outgrow it quickly.  This year in my class it has sprouted verses.

Verse 1 as above

Verse 2:

Front, Back, Arms and Legs, Arms and Legs,
Front, Back, Arms and Legs, Arms and Legs,
Hair, and Forehead, and Cheeks, and Chin,
Front, Back, Arms and Legs, Arms and Legs

Verse 3:

Neck, Waist, Hips, and Ankles, Hips, and Ankles,
Neck, Waist, Hips and Ankles, Hips and Ankles,
Elbows, and Wrists, and Fingernails, and Toenails,
Neck, Waist, Hips and Ankles, Hips and Ankles.

Verse 4, my favorite, as there is much giggling:

Stand up, Sit down, Out (arms out wide) and In (arms tucked in), Out and In,
Stand up, Sit down, Out and In, Out and In,
Turn yourself around and then you sit back down,
Stand up, Sit down, Out and In, Out and In.

Can't wait to discover verse 5.    I had to write them all down because verse 3 is the newest and I'm pretty sure I've changed the 3rd line every time we sing it.   Verse 4 always needs to be last!  It just does.

Just in case you don't know this for some reason here's a youtube video that I did not make:
